Crispy Cauliflower Fries


Ingredients:
  • Cauliflower    1 medium
  • Rice flour    1/4 cup
  • Corn flour    1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder    1& 1/2 Tsp
  • Turmeric    2 pinches
  • Salt    As needed
  • Oil    For deep frying

Instructions:
  • Separate the cauliflower into bite-size pieces.
  • Boil this in water with salt and turmeric.
  • When the water boils, put off the flame.Let it be covered for 5 minutes and then drain the water completely.
  • Take the cauliflower to a bowl and add rice flour, corn flour and salt.Mix it well so that the powders coat the cauliflower.Add very little water to make it stick. Don't use more corn flour, it will turn out hard.
  • Adding more water also will make it hard.
  • Heat the oil in a pan and fry in medium flame until golden brown and crispy.Serve hot.
  • Eat within 20-30 mins after frying, otherwise, it will become saggy. 


Crispy Cauliflower Buffalo Bits


Ingredients

  • 1 medium cauliflower
  • 1 cup garbanzo bean flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon melted butter
  • 2/3 cup hot sauce
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 450F.  
  • Add flour, water, garlic powder,  salt in a medium-size bowl and whisk together until smooth.
  • Add cauliflower to the batter to coat each piece completely.
  • Take a lightly greased, non-stick baking sheet and place battered cauliflower on it.
  •  Bake for 15 minutes
  • In the meantime, mix melted butter and hot sauce in a large bowl, stirring. 
  • When cauliflower is almost done, remove it from the oven. Add it to the hot sauce mixture. 
  • Place it again on the baking sheet and cook for an additional 25 minutes or until it becomes crispy. 
  • Serve hot

Ilish Polao or Hilsa Pulao is one of the traditional dishes of Bangladesh.  Ilish Polau is one of those dishes which have few different cooking styles. Here Elish or Hilsa is cooked in plain yoghurt along with rice and mild spices.
