Custard is a delicious and nutritious dessert which can be prepared very easily for any special occasion. It’s quick and easy and it tastes great when you have a cold.
INGREDIENTS:
1. 1 cup milk
2. 2tablespoons sugar
3. 1and ½ tablespoons Custard powder
4. ½ teaspoon food colour
5. 1 vanilla cake
6. 2 cups whipped cream
7. ½ packet strawberry Jelly
8. ½ cup Strawberry juice
9. Strawberry, pineapple, orange, slice

METHOD:
1. In a saucepan combine milk, sugar and custard powder and stir continuously until it thickens. Remove it from the flame.
2. Mix the food colour in it.
3. Peel all fruits and cut into small pieces.
4. In a serving bowl or dish spread some custard then half of the cake pieces and repeat layering with custard mixture
5. Then make another layer with strawberry juice
6. Spread strawberry, pineapple, orange slice over it
7. Garnish with remain custard and spread cream and strawberry jelly on the top.
8. Cover and Refrigerate it 30-40 minutes before setting and then serve chilled
Fruit custard
Ingredients
1. Vanilla flavoured Custard powder - 2 tbsp
2. Cold Milk – ¼ cup
3. Milk - 500 ml
4. Sugar - 1/4 cup or as require
5. Mixed fruits
Method
1. Take 2 tbsp of vanilla flavoured custard powder and about ¼ cup of cool milk to this and mix it very well to make a smooth paste. If you want your custard thick, take an additional ½ tbsp. of custard powder. Mix the custard powder with cool milk otherwise, it will form lumps.2. Take the remaining milk (500 ml) in a saucepan and boil it.
3. When it begins to boil, add the sugar and the custard mixed milk and stirring continuously.
4. Cook with stirring continuously for about 5 minutes in low heat. The milk thickens to form the custard Within 5 minutes.
5. Switch off and let it cool in the refrigerator.
6. While it is cooling, you can prepare and chop the fruits. It is a great dessert where you can include all your favourite fruits. You can use apple, pear, banana, pomegranate, melon and grapes and Other seasonal fruits like mango, sapodilla, jackfruit, papaya, pineapple, peach, kiwi, dragon fruit, orange segments, lychee, strawberry, berries, mixed chopped nuts etc.
7. But avoid the fruits like watermelon that would make the custard watery.
8. Mix the fruits and refrigerate it until ready to serve.
9. Otherwise, you can refrigerate chopped fruits and custard separately. While serving, take chopped fruits in individual serving bowls and pour enough custard on top. The dessert tastes best when served chilled.
